In their album Random Access Memories, futuristic duo Daft Punk sampled their recording of Giorgio Moroder, the “Father of Disco,” sharing a story about his attempts to capture “the sounds of the '50s, the sounds of the '60s, of the '70s,” and eventually, the “sounds of the future” with his innovating use of the synthesizer.
