Setsubun Festival Posters
Poster Series Spring ‘24
Setsubun is a Japanese spring festival rooted in Shinto tradition, where bad luck in the form of oni (demons) are driven out by shouting Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi (demons out, good fortune in) and throwing beans at a person dressed in an oni mask. From a distance, the negative space tightens, making the demon even more striking. Beans at the ready!
